Bay Area, Tri-Valley Home sales and results

Well the stats are in for the last year from the California Association of Realtors. Byron, Brentwood, Martinez, San Ramon, and Fairfield get hammered by double digit losses for home prices. Berkley, Union City, Dublin, Livermore, Alameda, and Lafayette stay in single and double number increases. This is a natural balance occurring, and an even better indicator of places that will weather most any housing storm, considering many experts believe the worst has passed.

Memorial Day weekend has passed us by, I will give everyone quick updates on how this will effect Livermore Real Estate in the next few weeks. Traditionally this is when things start heating up, stay tuned.

Houses in Livermore seem to be going up in value according to your stats, what do you attribute this to?

I have read many blogs lately concerning real estate, yours by far is the most unbiased and respected. Keep up the good work in the Livermore area and in adressing the Livermore real estate market.

I appreciate all comments even the ones I didn't allow posted. Livermore is in a position of exciting times. Being ranked the 31st best place to live in the U.S. doesn't hurt either. There are jobs, winery's, a great downtown, and there is still affodable housing, why wouldn't our values go up even in bad times? All printed indications of our housing slump seem to predict a break at the end of the year or early next year. Please hold on to your hats, we wil be out of this mess soon. :)

I noticed there are only 396 homes in Livermore, this seems to be down fom last year. Being a real estate professional and in the same business, let your rreader's know we are headed for better real estate times. By the way, great job on your blogs.

I am a home owner who currently has his Livermore house on the market, in the past three months we have had a total of 12 open hosues with 7 people that showed up. Should I fire our Realtor? I think next time I will use Chris Greenman :).

Don't fire your Realtor, it has been the theme. Open houses don't sell houses, your house, price, and market condition does. Maybe you should re-evaluate those common mistakes. Good Luck! And yes it never hurts to use Chris Greenman from Christopher Ross & Associates Inc. :)
